Buying a house
Well we found a house! :)
A couple of weeks ago we met with our realtor Derek Deville . We were really ready to find something. We wanted to talk to him about being more agressive in the market. We wanted to start looking at short sales. But doing this I guess was a lot more time consuming then we wanted. Anyway I had some addresses that I wanted to throw at Derek. Then we looked on his search engine and came up with 14 houses. The first 12 were caca then we got to the last few and there were two awesome houses that we thought for sure would be good to look at.
The thing about the market right now is that there are some really nice homes the have everything I could ask for. But they are either in the middle of nowhere or right in the middle of ghetto high desert. All in all we were looking for a place with a good floor plan. Altho we wanted granite counters and a huge yard those were things we could settle on not having. Oh and a side drive to the backyard. So we looked at earhart ave. Great big house on a good street. A couple of crappy houses but not terrible. This house has front and back landscaped yard fenced, on .50 acre ,three car garage . Katie really liked the kitchen so that was good. We went to some houses that had amazing views and big lots but she didn't like the kitchen. This house has four bedrooms three baths nice open floor plan and good sized master. We were very happy about this house. So the crazy part is that it had just been re vamped. So everything is new stove washer and microwave ,paint and it was built in 05 . But the fact that it had been on the market for only that day put alot of pressure on us. INTENCE. The last house we really liked we waited too long to put an offer in and someone got it before us. So we jumped on it this time. Anyway. 30 days to the close of escrow and were in a house ... we hope.

Shopping
So as some people may know. My wife and I are thinking about buying a house. Its been a while since we tried this. But for some reason. The market in the high desert is really good. Although I've talked to alot of people about buying a house now in this market. They seem to think that the prices are going to get lower. But now id be able to find a beautiful house for under 150,000.
Today I went buy this house that had some flood damage due to the road wash that wasn't properly retained. Awesome house probly sell in a real market for 300,000+ huge vaulted ceilings giant doors. Big kitchen granite counter tops. But the reality of it all is that it was well flooded in the garage. But your wondering why I even went to go look at it? It was on the market starting at 99,000 bank owned but would make an invester one happy camper.
Anyways we're going to meet with monica brook on wednesday. Who's a broker that the family knows. Obviously im not in a huge hurry but it makes me feel good that at some point ill be ready. To buy our first home :)
Were just really lucky. We finished our taxes this year and compaired to 2009 we tripled our income. But the weird thing is Kt will be making the same flo now that she's got a real job, without me working. So we hope. That's all for now. Wish us luck :)
